With 2.1.0 I get that weired MSSQL error with 2.0.6 I don't. If it makes you happy: "Snort does not have bugs, never had and never will have any". ;-) (that doesn's solve my problem with 2.1 but 2.0.6 will have to do at the moment) or I switch back to MySQL instead of MSSQL (which was also working fine on 2.1, just wanted to see if MSSQL is any faster with ACID then MySQL). So, sorry if you got offended by mentioning the possibility that snort might have a bug. Wish u a happy new year. regards Uso ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Steele" <michaels () winsnort com> To: "'Snort Users List'" <snort-users () lists sourceforge net> Sent: Wednesday, December 31, 2003 8:08 AM Subject: RE: [Snort-users] WinSnort and MSSQL Problem
There are NO bugs in the 2.0.6 or 2.1.0 versions of Snort located at CodeCraft Consultants or WINSNORT.com. I am receiving some errors that I don't understand on the console butthesystem seems to be working fine as ACID is reporting correctly
(however
CPUutilization is high because of the scrolling of these error messages
in
theconsole window). Does anyone have a clue what that error means? regards Uso -*> Snort! <*- Version 2.1.0-ODBC-MySQL-MSSQL-FlexRESP-WIN32 (Build 9) By Martin Roesch (roesch () sourcefire com, www.snort.org) 1.7-WIN32 Port By Michael Davis (mike () datanerds net, www.datanerds.net/~mike) 1.8 - 2.1 WIN32 Port By Chris Reid
