sniffing cables and network taps

Hello,

So I've gotten my sniffing cable working over a hub, but really, it's
not the most efficient way to do it.  I've read discussion on this list
about using network taps as they would work with switches.  Can any of
you recommend a good site to pick one up at as well as any resources on
how to utilize one?  I've never had to use one before.

Alternatively, I've been talking to several folks on the list in hopes
of locating a capacitor that could be used according to Sam Ng's cable
design.  I'm looking for a 160VDC 40 VAC Polysytrene 15 pico farad
capacitor.  Does anyone out there know where to get these at?  The site
that Sam had directed me to is in the UK and their US distributor
doesn't have them.  Anyone know where to get any ?
