Does anyone have the date Snort - Lightweight Intrusion Detection for

changes which have already occured or not, ie. detection engine and a
major overhaul.

Well, if you go to the old versions on Snort.org and snag the 0.96
tarball, the dates are 12-11-98.

All in all, throw away whatever you think you know about Snort and check
out 2.0. It's a _major_ change from the previous verions, and things
work quite a bit quicker (18x speed in some cases).

Cheers!
