Olaf, Sounds like a bad download. Where did you get it from and what version is it? You can grab the latest binaries from our site, just follow the support trail. -Michael -- Michael Steele | System Engineer / Support Technician mailto:michaels () silicondefense com Silicon Defense - The Cyber-War Defense Company Website: http://www.silicondefense.com Snort: Open Source Network IDS - http://www.snort.org -----Original Message----- From: snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net [mailto:snort-users-admin () lists sourceforge net] On Behalf Of Olaf Lachowicz Sent: Thursday, March 27, 2003 12:54 PM To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net Subject: [Snort-users] 1.9.1 winxp home HI, I've just installed Snort 1.9.1 on my winxp home edition box in the directory: C:\Snort. When I try "snort" from the command line, instead of the list of commands, I get: 'snort' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file. Does that mean Snort hasn't actually installed? Have I missed something? Any help appreciated, thx, Olaf
