unknown output plugin 'database'

Any advice with this problem would be greatly appreciated! I've got the 
1.9.1 source. I did the following:
./configure --with-mysql --enable-flexresp (had to do this a few times 
because I needed some dependencies which I installed)
make
make install.
All of this went fine without any errors.
I edited my snort.conf to output to mysql. But when I start snort 
(./snort) it gets this error, WARNING: unknown output plugin: 'database', 
then logs to /var/log/snort...
It's like it wasn't compiled with mysql. To check all was happy, I ran 
this:
configure --with-mysql --enable-flexresp | grep mysql
and it says mysql...yes.
AARRRGGG!! Please help!
