Centrally controlled log management server

Hello,

I'm researching enterprise IDS solutions. I have always recommended SNORT
and now it looks like I get to roll it out enterprise wide.
Here's what I have. What do you guys think..??

I have 20 500mhz boxes to install snort on...   This solution will be mostly
NIDS...   
What do you guys do/ suggest for central management of logs...   I've
noticed several appliances BUT
I would like good old *nix to handle it.

Any suggestions>?
