RE: Mysql cleanup script?

I use phpMyAdmin and here's the script it executes:

REPAIR TABLE `acid_ag` , `acid_ag_alert` , `acid_event` , `acid_ip_cache` , `data` , `detail` , `encoding` , `event` ,
`icmphdr` , `iphdr` , `opt` , `reference` , `reference_system` , `schema` , `sensor` , `sig_class` , `sig_reference` ,
`signature` , `tcphdr` , `udphdr` ;

This doesn't delete alerts, it just repairs the database and cleans it up a little. For example, my DB size was around
200 MB and after running this, it dropped to 160.

On a similar subject, Over time, even with deleting old alerts, the DB
itself grows. What's the best way to "shrink" it, so that it takes up less
space on disk?

I thought Roman had posted something like this, but I can't seem to find it.
Or, perhaps I imagined it.

Dose anyone have a Mysql cleanup script?
Something I can run once a week or month to clean out my
Mysql database for
snort alerts.

Thanks
