It could be that this is the only interesting thing going on in your network
at the moment. Have you tried running a security scanner from outside to see
if it generates alerts? DO NOT do this with nmap, it won't do enough to
really test, but try Nessus, Cybercop, ISS Scanner, etc., etc., and see if
you get some alarms. As long as you're running the default config with
HOME_NET defined correctly, you should see some alerts if you do this.
