This is exactly what I did, downloaded the sources (actually src.rpms), compiled and installed libnet, modified the .spec file to compile only the plain+flexresp, compile and install. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Is anybody else experiencing the same problem ? Thanks and all the best, Tudor "Ronneil Camara" <ronneilc () remingtonltd com> on 01/22/2002 02:46:57 PM To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net cc: (bcc: Tudor Panaitescu/ColorconUS) Subject: RE: [Snort-users] Snort+flexresp and "raw socket for libnet" -> -----Original Message----- -> From: Tudor Panaitescu [mailto:tpanaitescu () colorcon com] -> Sent: Tuesday, January 22, 2002 1:22 PM -> To: snort-users () lists sourceforge net -> Subject: [Snort-users] Snort+flexresp and "raw socket for libnet" -> -> -> -> -> Hello fellow snorters, -> -> I am trying to use the flexresp in snort and I am getting this error: -> -> FATAL ERROR: ERROR: cannot open raw socket for libnet, exiting... -> Did you download a binary package? If so, scrap that out, and grab the snort source then recompile with --with-flexresp. One more, you must install libnet first. Grab it from packetfactory.
