Also so you do know on www.snort.org there is a php script that I created for 
this as well.. Oh and as for the portscan, you might want to make another 
table for that information, or to strip some of that data down (That module 
needs major rework, to clean it up)

Good idea... I'll add Postgresql foreign keys in the next version of
the schema.

This is what I have for that though using scheme 102 (I haven't had time to
change 103, though the changes do get annoying) (I might actually just do an
update script for this, instead)

I'm working on a tool to generate consistent schemas across mysql,
postgresql, oracle, etc that will be more user friendly than the
current method of creating the database tables. This should also make
adding and maintaining support for more databases easier. Once I get
the basics tackled I'll add migration support so upgrading schemas
will be automatic.
