Fink (a dpkg software installation system) for OS X has an Intel OS X binary package for nmap. I could put the stand-alone binary out there. The only non-standard library dependency is libpcap. I strongly recommend Fink for any geeky OS X users, though. It has many other useful tools, and comes with FinkCommander, a GUI installer and package browser. If you have the developer tools installed, it can also compile the packages from source. http://fink.sourceforge.net/ On 2/19/07, Dave Piscitello <dave () corecom com> wrote:
While we are on the subject, does anyone know or have a MacOS X 10.4 pkg for nmap (Intel compatible)? The XNmap (homepage.mac.com/natritmeyer/ ) includes an installer for nmap for the PPC. I can find discussions about compiling nmap but this requires the Apple Developer Tools system. Not a show stopper, but not exactly convenient either. thx d
