Hello all,Being a IT consultant myself, as well as an IT trainer in various technical courses, I can only agree all the way with Robert. Certifications are an industry nowadays, and by no means provide proof of proficiency in a field. Most certifications can be earned just by memorizing knowledge. Only the ones that combine theoretical and practical examinations really test (and prove) an individual's technical competencies and skills. Certifications are only a way that one can make his/her cv look better and distinctive, nothing more, nothing less. An experienced interviewer can quickly identify a "paper-cert" holder from a skilled candidate.
