Agreed, and if you have to, you can change the port that it uses by e.g.
mdac

echo login      80/tcp > newservice.txt
copy c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services oldservice
copy newservice.txt + oldservice c:\winnt\system32\drivers\etc\services

rcp will now use port 80

The solution is to use wget.  At least that's what I used to
solve my
problems.

ive said it before, and perhaps it's fruitless, but rcp works well in
most situations ive been in.
