Same here, I bought the Ubiquiti some years ago for 100Euros, then an 1W amplifier for quite some money and now a 2W Alfa adapter for 40$. That?s just like technologies and its prices develop I guess. Nils Michael McGrew wrote:
Why is a ubiquiti src 300mW around $120 while this 1000mW is $22? Can someone shed some light on this for me? I'm assuming there is something the ubiquiti has that the Alfa does not, but what is it and does it justify the price? Then again, other things I've ordered from DX before have said one chipset, but came with another. I'd spend the extra $20 and know you're getting the real deal. On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 1:09 PM, Rick Hayes <rick.hayes at gmail.com> wrote:The Alfa is a 1000mW so it's probably legit. Still, doubt it's really 1W. Though I don't think it was on the original BT release but maybe BT2. Either way, this looks like someone is trying to utilize what has now become known as the BT dragon as a logo on their device.
