According to the box, it has a Realtek 8187L. Then again, other things I've ordered from DX before have said one chipset, but came with another. Adrian On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 1:15 PM, Karl Schuttler <karl.schuttler at gmail.com>wrote:
Except that the point of buying the alfa isn't just its power, but the fact that its chipset is natively compatible and fully supported under linux. I'd spend the extra $20 and know you're getting the real deal. On Wed, Apr 21, 2010 at 1:09 PM, Rick Hayes <rick.hayes at gmail.com> wrote:The Alfa is a 1000mW so it's probably legit. Still, doubt it's really 1W. Though I don't think it was on the original BT release but maybe BT2. Either way, this looks like someone is trying to utilize what has now become known as the BT dragon as a logo on their device.
