-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 IIRC, the pro version of Evernote will search the contents of PDFs too. I started with a Mediawiki site (because the DH 1-click install was just too easy to resist). I got tired of wiki editing sytax pretty quickly. Then I fiddled with Backpack and Basecamp accounts when I first tried to implement GTD. Now I'm using Nozbe + Evernote. I manage to-do lists w/ Nozbe and save notes and clippings to Evernote. Nozbe and Evernote now and that seems to be best solution for me right now. Nozbe handles the GTD task organization structure better than anything else I've found, but their search function sucks. Evernote is good for note taking, organization and search, but not much else. Once those two things are glued together, it's a rock solid system. Here's a video of how data is shared between these apps: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3QCMhIpBFw And if anyone finds this system useful, I'd appreciate it if you used my affiliate link to sign up for a Nozbe account. http://www.nozbe.com/a-9E1A32E7 Marv Grecs wrote:
If you go with the Pro version, I think Evernote also allows you to store files too. Thanks, Grecs Follow me on Twitter (http://twitter.com/grecs) ===== http://www.novainfosecportal.com News, Events, & Resources for Infosec Professionals in NoVA, DC, & MD Quoting Colin Vallance <crvallance at gmail.com>:I use evernote and/or dropbox with a folder structure and text file system. I like evernote because it syncs across multiple systems and is quick to enter stuff from my iphone. Dropbox is nice for similar reasons but I can also toss files up there. For example I'm currently studying for my CCNP and keep PDF versions of all the book as well as other misc training material so I can access it from wherever I'm at. One of these days I'll finish (reread) "Getting Things Done" and apply some better parameters to my "system". I am currently using Evernote as my personal knowledge management system. I'd like to hear what others areusingand what you like or dislike about your system.I use dokuwiki and have a page for each topic I'm interested in. The beauty of that is that it stores all the content as plain text so if I can't get web access but I can get ssh I can just read the documents from the command line. Really easy to setup and admin, and the search feature works where I never found the one with media wiki did.
