I'm not sure that will work with an IP based cam, but it worth looking into. Thanks, Adrian 2009/1/16 Rob Fuller <jd.mubix at gmail.com>
Why don't you just use ustream? 2009/1/16 Adrian Crenshaw <irongeek at irongeek.com>Raffi , I'll look closer at what Dyndns offers. Rob, I'll see if my provider offers something like that, but I'm doubting it. I could do a netcat redirect, but I don't think they would let that stay up. :). What I want to do is give the world a link to a webcam, but proxy it somehow so folks won't be able to find my direct broadband connection to. Something like: viewer -> Proxy -> real ip web cam so they can't find the cam's direct ip. Adrian 2009/1/16 Rob Fuller <jd.mubix at gmail.com> Adrian,You could always go the most simplistic route, port forwarding :) There are tons of shells out there and hosting companies that allow you "root" access. I have a server that I do just that on. Rob (muibix) Fuller 2009/1/16 Adrian Crenshaw <irongeek at irongeek.com>Hi all, What I'm interested in is running a web service on my local home network, but not having to give out the WAN IP of my router. I know I can do this with Tor Hidden services (and maybe freenet), but that is slow as hell. Any other ideas? Any one know of a proxy service that hides the destination from the viewer?
