NSE smbauth library question

Hi, I am exploring NSE right now and there is this thing I did not find any information about in the documentation or anywhere else and it makes not much sense to me. Could someone please help and explain it to me? In the documentation of scripts there is the Script Arguments section. Many scripts such as - hostmap-robtex - http-affiliate-id - cups-queue-info do have smb* arguments from smbauth library mentioned there. I can't figure out how these scripts use smbauth library. hostmap-robtex.nse seems to be the most simple example of this. The code is very short and very clear. If I understand it correctly, it just downloads a HTML page from robtex.com server and parses it and that's pretty much all it does. So, how do I change the behavior of this script if I use the smb* arguments with it? What is the dependency here I am missing? Does this script really depend on smbauth or is this part of the documentation only somehow automatically generated and due to some internal dependency from e.g. http library there is this smbauth script arguments section but those arguments can not really affect the script in any way?
