Hey Ron, it's simple: Winnipeg is a frozen wasteland, Vegas is a desert wasteland. You'll feel right at home ;-)

On a more serious note, there's at least one Nmap dev under 21 so if we go to a place with alcohol (my vote), it can't be a 21-and-up-only place.

Sent from my phone. If you would like a digital signature for this email let me know and I will sign it later.

Hi Folks. Defcon is around the corner, and it seems that many Nmap
developers will be there! I know David, Ron, Brandon, Kris, and
myself are going, and I'll bet many more folks are as well.

It would be great to have an Nmap-related get together, whether it
takes the form of a group dinner in Vegas, a sky box party, taking
over part of a bar, or whatever.

It will probably be open to all Nmap developers (e.g. anyone listed in CHANGELOG). So if you'd like to come, let me know! Otherwise I won't
know to send you an invitation. Also let me know if you have
preferred dates (it would presumably be Thursday night, Friday night,
or Saturday night). And I'm especially soliciting ideas/venue
suggestions for the get together.

Cheers,.

It's my first time to Defcon (and, for that matter, Vegas), so I have no plans whatsoever. I'm definitely up (or down?) for whatever!

My only request is, if we do a dinner somewhere, it's not a meat- oriented place. I have no idea what the dining in Vegas is like for... *gasp*... a vegan! :)

But yeah, I can't believe that in 48 hours, I'll be on a plane to Vegas! It's going to be awesome.
