Hi Folks. Defcon is around the corner, and it seems that many Nmap
developers will be there! I know David, Ron, Brandon, Kris, and
myself are going, and I'll bet many more folks are as well.

It would be great to have an Nmap-related get together, whether it
takes the form of a group dinner in Vegas, a sky box party, taking
over part of a bar, or whatever.

It will probably be open to all Nmap developers (e.g. anyone listed
in CHANGELOG). So if you'd like to come, let me know! Otherwise I
won't know to send you an invitation. Also let me know if you have
preferred dates (it would presumably be Thursday night, Friday
night, or Saturday night). And I'm especially soliciting
ideas/venue suggestions for the get together.

Cheers,.

Wish I was going; unfortunately a prior engagement prevents me from
going to the conference in Vegas this year.

Last year was great; I got to see Fyodor present, meet Kris (and I
think trade a couple words with Brandon), and talk to a few other
folks that until then had been only names on a mailing list.

I highly recommend attending to anyone who's able to go; if there's a
similar event next year I'll definitely make it a point to attend it!

Dang, "trade words" sounds like we had an altercation ;-) Now I'm
trying to remember what we discussed!

Too bad you can't make it, this year's schedule looks pretty good.
Hopefully others can make it. The economy seems to have really reduced
a lot of conference attendance. Several I've been to this summer are
at 50%-60% their normal levels...
