By default Nmap installs in /usr/local. If you have an old copy installed in /usr it will hide the new copy in /usr/local. See what scripts you have in /usr/local/share/nmap/scripts. Try running /usr/local/bin/nmap instead of just nmap. If that works, then you probably want to get rid of the old version in /usr/bin.
