Nmap problem

Hi 
I have installed the latest version(nmap-4.68-setup.exe) 
on my Win2000 professional  system and the install worked fine 
however when I go to run it (put in the IP and click the scan button) I get an error "The procedure entry point 
getaddrinfo could not be located in the dynamic link library WS2_32.dll"

however I don't understand what I have to do to make this work.
 
Please let me know what need to be done.
