Hey everyone! I have checked in a few lines to /nmap that have to do with how -sV is working with other scan types. I accidently had -sV running with -sO earlier today, and realized that when the IPProto Scan had finished, service detection was trying to run. But it failed. This caused Nmap to exit, without giving me any of the protocol information from the host. This also prevents other tasks like Traceroute from performing. So the Service Scan is now disabled way before scanning begins and a warning message is printed.
I have also checked in a few lines to disable OS Detection when used with the IPProto Scan. It looks like it was using the protocol information to try to get the port numbers to send to.
