You're right -- I probably should have waited until 3.98BETA1 was out before issuing the call for NmapFE porting (below). That way people don't have to apply all of Priit's changes themselves. But it is out now, so people are most welcome to give it a shot. Cheers, -F

I compiled it for Windows about 5 years ago with GTK1 (http://seclists.org/lists/nmap-dev/2001/Jan-Mar/0000.html). The results weren't very satisfactory (GTK problems, I think). But maybe the situations has improved a lot by now. Don't the Gimp, Gaim, Ethereal, and other popular open source GTK applications now work reasonably well on Windows? If anyone gives this a try, please let us (nmap-dev) know how well it works and what changes (if any) you needed to make. Cheers, Fyodor
