Hi Fyodor, Arc, Thanks for the help. Ya, the cli built correctly, and functions. For other users, I've never really used X or any graphics oriented apps, so anything gui oriented may be missing some libraries. I started installing all the dependencies of gtk2 from ports or source, and ran into some problems during the make install of a couple of them, but the important thing is that the cli version of nmap does build and install correctly. I ran into that also. The reason is the library for gtk for bsd is in a place that nmap doesn't expect it.
