Nmap 2.51 has been released, mostly to fix a target parsing bug found by
Steve Horsburgh which could in some cases cause Nmap to crash with the
error "Assertion `t->nleft > 1' failed".  I through a couple minor things
in as well. There are no plans to release 2.52 in the near future unless
someone finds an important bug in 2.51.

Here are the changes:

-- Fixed target parsing bug found by Steve Horsburgh (shorsburgh (at)
   horsburgh.com).

-- Changed makefile/rpm to store fingerprint, rpc, and services file
in $prefix/share/nmap rather than $prefix/lib/nmap , since these
files are architecture independent. You should now use
./configure --datadir instead of ./configure --libdir to change
the default location. Suggested by Thomas Klausner ( wiz (at)
   danbala.ifoer.tuwien.ac.at ).

-- I am now including Eilon Gishri's (eilon (at) aristo.tau.ac.il) rpc
number list (which he recently merged with the Nmap 2.50 rpc list).

-- Included Spanish and French HTML versions of the Nmap man page (may
not always be up to date).

For those of you running Linux/x86 w/rpm (www.rpm.org), you can
install/upgrade to the newest version of nmap/nmapfe with these
commands:

rpm -vhU (nmap url)
where (nmap url) is one (or both) of these:
ftp://ftp.server51.freshmeat.net/pub/nmap/nmap-2.51-1.i386.rpm
ftp://ftp.server51.freshmeat.net/pub/nmap/nmap-frontend-0.2.51-1.i386.rpm

source tarballs and source RPMs are available at:
http://www.insecure.org/nmap/ or ftp://ftp.server51.freshmeat.net/pub/nmap

Cheers,
Fyodor
