There would be no addresses to allocate and no money to receive. It would take multiple years post-RFC and post-implementation before anyone could even contemplate doing allocation, of any sort. So while it's an entertaining sideline to think about later, at this point it is a distraction. John PS: It's conceivable that RIRs could allocate via a market. One has already done so (APNIC).
What exactly APNIC has done (just for curiosity) ?
