Not to mention manufacturers are finally focusing on the in-home WiFi that is usually the worst part of someone's 
Internet experience due to a lack of adequate coverage, interference, etc.

Wi-fi is only growing. 

With all the fibre going into homes, businesses, shops and restaurants, 
wi-fi is up-and-to-the-right.
