Same here. When work is done at 9th and Rockwell, behind my building,
you will often see lots of markings in the middle of the road -
generally,
it'll be either AT&T, MFS or Ameritech's cabling being marked at
that particular intersection.

At our location, it's Ameritech, Ameritel, Williams, Winstar, ICG,
DIGEX/Intermedia, Prism, Time Warner, C&W, Worldcom, Nextlink and of
course EnterZone and CMH-IX.

We live in telco heaven though.  I can throw a rock and hit all of the
above from the roof of our NOC.  With all the construction going on around
here (additional fiber rings being built) I'm suprised they don't just
bolt the steal plates to the road to save time. <grin>
