NANOG is supported by Merit and Merit is supported by the NSF and the NSF is supported by the U.S. Government and the U.S. Government is supported by U.S. taxpayers... This makes NANOG conversations about Internet Governance topics subject to the Ex-Parte rules of the U.S. Government.
