Compiling Lorcon with Metasploit on SL

Hi,
I have lorcon compiled and running on SL. I installed Metasploit and when I try to use a wireless module like fakeap, I 
get
Auxiliary failed: Runtime error Lorcon2 not available.

Any tips on how I can get Metasploit to recognize the installed lorcon libraries ? They are installed in /usr/local/lib 
and I can see the liborcon2.* files in there.
