Dave,In response to Mr. Riley's comment, it would seem that the actual of the inventor of the patent in the RIM v. NTP case never would have seen a dime anyway: NTP patented the invention with no intention of remunerating the inventor. John Markoff wrote an NYTimes an article about it last year: http://www.nytimes.com/2006/04/16/technology/ 16wireless.html
