Subject: "random" searches

I was told by the security inspector at a nameless airport
that "changing airlines, especially commuter or regional to
a different major" was a big factor in the "random" selection.
also, he said any kind of last-minute change to a ticket
(including purchasing it) raises the odds dramatically, and
changing airlines makes it a certainty.

it's also interesting what happens when the sample set gets
small: *everyone* gets the full treatment all the time,
including shoes. and then when you get to a major hub, you
get it all again.

too bad they can't put one of those stickers on your person
that says "Inspected at LHR" like they do with bags.
