I wonder what else they consider objectionable. Probably a lot of things I read and maybe even the Bill of Rights djf From: "Carl M. Kadie" <kadie () eff org> Dave, Under a Southern Utah University computer policy, a student was punished for visiting a Hitler web site. The policy asserts that students and faculty no privacy on-line and that they can be punished for viewing any "objectionable material". Students have protested the punishment (and the policy) by putting blindfolds on university statues. Today's Salt Lake City Tribune reports that the student paper has called for the policy to be revised. http://www.sltrib.com/1999/feb/02231999/utah/85418.htm Wired News reports today that at least so far, the University is standing by its policy. http://www.wired.com/news/news/politics/story/18070.html A detailed critique of the policy, along with resources for creating good academic policies, is available from the Computers and Academic Freedom Project. http://www.eff.org/CAF/ Yours, Carl Kadie kadie () eff org
