I am so far down the food chain my experience hardly matters BUT...

I updated The Clam Anti-virus signatures manually early Monday AM. It
hasn't
missed a single attempt, since, including those tricky zip files you
mentioned. The Clam, running under Linux, had the signature within hours
of
the outbreak and, thus far, hasn't missed once.
