weird ports listening

Hi everyone.  I was wondering if someone out there could help identify the
following ports for me.  I am running NT Server 4.0 with Service pack 6a
installed.  The ports are all TCP and they are definitely all listening.  If
anyone would be so gracious as to explain to me how to make them stop
listening or why would they would need to be listening in the first place it
would be very helpful.

1080 which identifies itself as SOCKS
