I'd be really surprised if they did, at least on a regular basis.Instead, I would expect a patent to be issued, he would get 50 companies to roll over and pay, before someone decides to actually challenge it. THEN their lawyers find the post, and have the patent invalidated. So he will be left with no patent. A maybe a couple million from the first 50 companies.
