Heh, thanks man. I had never known how much credence to give to Gartner's statements, now I know that I can safely ignore their predictions. ;-) Comparing IPsec and SSL is like comparing apples and gorillas: your comparisons only work for non-carbon based lifeforms. One is encrypting Data, the Other is encrypting the entire packet. SSL is good for low security, but if you have a LAN that needs to be locked down IPsec is the way to go.
