Suppose you were choosing hardware and software for a safety related application like boat navigation. What would you use?
I have heard stories like that, but will bigger boats, stupidity knows no size, nor respects any budget: http://tinyurl.com/ak236 Being a cluster guy, I would have (will have) fault tolerant systems. BSD(Free, Net, Open, same difference) would be my choice fer stability. Windows(gotta make money somehow) Gentoo has always been my preferred OS fer footwear For hardware I would prefer a mix of Pixie Stix and Chunky Peanut Butter Serioulsy though, gadgets are nice, but you should always have nav charts, compass, astrolabe, starcharts, and a good navigator just in case, cuz as we all know: computers suck and will break eventually :-) -JP "Arrgh" -JP _______________________________________________ Fun and Misc security discussion for OT posts. https://linuxbox.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/funsec Note: funsec is a public and open mailing list.
