The new Microsoft math: 1 patch for 14 vulnerabilities, MS04-011
Date: Wed, 14 Apr 2004 11:59:14 -0400

give me a freakin break people.... you guys complain when Microsoft
doesn't patch something, and now you're complaining when Microsoft
patches something....

As much as you may wish to defend Micro$oft, the effect, and I suspect
the underlying motives here are pretty obvious.

See news.google.com/sci-tech, and try to figure out how many patches
for how many individual vulnerabilities were actually dealt with, as
far as the news media can tell.

Extra credit: guess how soon this disinformation will be spun into the
fewest number of patches/vulns possible by the Micro$oft pimps.

Who's got it right:

Well, which is it? 3, 21, 20, "over 30", "at least 20"?

This is being done deliberately by Micro$oft to put itself in the best
possible light.
