Regarding the CCNA test

Thank you all for your opinions, this is a great list.

I guess I will go the middle of the road and get two 1005's since I can get
them for about $100 apiece on ebay, and it is near the price of a sim disk.

Your answers were very very helpful.

Option 4) Save yourself some money and get the router sim if you are
just looking to get some hands on experience and test out
things... Its
all software based for only about $200. http://www.routersim.com/

Subject: [fw-wiz] Cisco CCNA Test setup

Hello All
I am now faced with a decision, I am ready to buy hardware, so that I
can
study for my CCNA. I want to simulate a WAN. In order of expense, I am
looking at

Option 1) Two CISCO 1005's with a serial cable between them
Option 2) Two CISCO 1601's with a serial cable between them
Option 3) Two Cisco 1605's with an Ethernet cable between them.

Will one of these options be adequate to CCNA study?
What are the pros and cons of each?
What software feature level for IOS should I get?
Do I need the "firewall feature set?"
Am I headed in the right direction?

Any tips, suggestions, or flames?
