rsync running over ssh works well; it will not hold the NT file system ACLs, but if the point is backup it does the job securely and cheaply, especially if using strictly public key auth. This is all in the cygwin package, <http://sources.redhat.com/cygwin/>. Once cygwin is intstalled, you may want to edit the cygwin /etc/passwd file to take out the users that you don't want. -- Michael On Thu, 31 May 2001, Jonathan Feldman wrote:
OTOH, if you can live without a shrink-wrapped package, there's always SSH (Outbound TCP/22) and homegrown scripts. Lots easier to do on Unix, but still, you can do it on NT with IIS.
