I'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish here, but you have you considered using SSLWrap for this purpose? It'll take an inbound SSL connection and route it to some other port on your local network that can be a non-ssl destination. You could tunnel SSL in this configuration, but I think you're going to have problems during the key exchange. --john -- J.
