I need a copy of tcpdump for solarisand I haven't been able to find it on the usual sources for sun specific software. thanks, Ken
you can find solaris' tool "snoop" in /usr/sbin or you can grab the latest sources of tcpdump (search on http://freshmeat.net/) and compile it yourself. The compiler can be found on http://www.sunfreeware.com/ btw, ethereal (also found on freshmeat, search for "ethereal") is a very cool frontend for both snoop and tcpdump traces. with live-capturing too. regards, Juergen -- Juergen P.
