I personally do not like the PIX. I have to admit, I do not have much experience with Cisco and IOS, and when I was hired by my company and asked to set up a firewall, I picked the PIX as opposed to a Linux server, which I am much more familiar with, because the company already used Cisco products and I thought that an all-in-one solution would be easier to set up and maintain. But on second thought I wish I would have set up a Linux box. I hate the OS and command syntax of the PIX. It kills me whenever I have to make a change to the PIX. Our senior networking guy pretty good with the Cisco routers, but even he does not like to do anything on the PIX. He always asks me to do it :( As far as the NT GUI tools, well, we've never been able to get them to install correctly let alone run. YMMV. -- Albert Hopkins Sr. Systems Specialist Dynacare, Inc ahopkins () dynacare com
