Hi, Both Nokia and Cisco PIX have similar performance characteristics, not much between them if you choose the top of the line in both product ranges. Nokia had the edge by combining the Harden OS with checkpoints FW-1 feature specifically on the GUI side, PIX was a poor second in that it had the java/Web based firewall manager which wasn't much to look at, I preferred using the CLI. However, from recent trips to Cisco's site and talking with contacts in Cisco their new "Cisco Security Manager" will remedy this, while providing management of up to 100 PIX's centrally. This is certainly a plus if you have a Cisco based network as there are plans for the future releases of this product to support the management of Cisco routers with the IOS firewall feature set.
