an advantage of many (if not all) of these systems is that they can be
used to give a semi-trusted person one time access. I use the SNK cards
and our operators do not have access to some systems without calling an
authourized person to log them onto the machine. Yes, we have to trust
them not to do anything during that one login, but it saves us the hassle
of changing all passwords when an operator quits.
