Hi all,

I'm reaching out for assistance from this community in recruiting a Senior Network Security Engineer with expertise in
network security (firewall, IDS, VPN, SIEM, application proxies, etc..), scripting (in Perl or Python) and Linux.

The position is responsible for designing, deploying and managing the core campus security infrastructure for a
100,000-node network, one of the largest in San Diego. We have a number of major projects lined up for this year, such
as the modernization of security operations automation scripts (written in Perl/Python), and the deployment/upgrade of
SIEM, VPN, IDS, DDOS, and IPv6 solutions, just for starters. ;)

UC San Diego is ranked the 9th best public university in the nation by U.S. News and World Report and is the largest
employer based in San Diego County. The environment offers stability, work/life balance, excellent benefits including a
defined benefit retirement plan, as well as convenient access to a world-renown health care system. UC San Diego's
international reputation for excellence is due in large part to the cooperative and entrepreneurial nature of our
community. San Diego is ranked #22 in US News best places to live and is renowned for its sunny, temperate climate
(upper 70's in summer to the mid 60's in winter), proximity to the ocean, mountains, deserts and year-round activities.

More info on the position - and info on applying can be found here:

If you are interested - please apply! If not, then please forward along to anyone you know who might be interested.
Thank you!

Thank you,
Jason
