I think this may be a bit overly-sunny, but it is an interesting take on the upcoming Google policy shift: http://www.datamation.com/security/googles-new-privacy-policy-ignore-the-hype-1.html I know this is veering off-topic, but if you want guaranteed non-tracked email, paying for it is the only way to go, imho. As long as it's free, there's going to have to be something to pay for it, and advertisers have gotten used to being able to get targeted eyeballs for their pitches. I've been using it for a while now (for various reasons) and I really like it. For those of you that keep cookies between sessions, they have some really nice options [http://duckduckgo.com/**settings.html<http://duckduckgo.com/settings.html>] and their bang syntax is a nice feature [http://duckduckgo.com/bang.**html<http://duckduckgo.com/bang.html>]. Definitely recommended. Now I just need a good free web-based email alternative... Nice! I like it. Fast. No ads. Perhaps promising, though I've not used it much yet, so can't vouchfor the quality of search. The main idea they are selling is that they don't retain user data: https://duckduckgo.com/**privacy.html<https://duckduckgo.com/privacy.html>I like it even better. It would be nice if this idea catches on as a valuable thing to lookfor in online services.Yes. I just changed my Google Chrome instance to use it as the default search engine. I'll see how it goes. Might just have to change over my other machines/browsers.
