Was Netfilter/iptables a consideration when the Fortinets were purchased?

I ask because I'm assuming, with the discussion being between Fortinet
and Palo Alto, that multi-gigabit L7 filtering is a requirement, and
there are Linux boxes doing *at least* gigabit L7 via Netfilter.
